yourtax.nz collects very little. The calculator runs entirely in your browser; the only things we collect are listed below.

What stays in your browser

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The income and household details you enter are never sent to us or stored, unless you choose to share or copy a link.

Shared links

When you share or copy a link, we save that scenario so the link can stay short. It holds only the figures you entered, with nothing that identifies you (no name, email, account, or IP address), so a saved link can’t be traced back to you. We also record which channel the link was shared through and count how often it’s opened.

Email notifications

If you ask to be notified of changes, we store only your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Analytics

We count visits with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool we host ourselves. It uses no cookies, collects no personal data, and shares nothing with third parties. Read more about Umami.
